The Tokyo Wheel Set is the 'Original' Tokyowheel front and rear bicycle wheels.

This wheel set is built specially for fixed gear, fixie, and track bikes, and will fit any bike made for 700c wheels with a rear spacing of 120mm.

Tokyowheel's master builders hand make each wheel with a custom deep aero carbon rim, awesomely oversized carbon 'Chub' hub and arguably the best spokes in the world the Sapim CX-RAY racing spokes.

The Tokyo Wheel rim is made of 100% carbon fiber. This means that the weight nearest the edge of the wheel is greatly reduced, and that your bike will feel quick and accelerate fast. The 85mm deep aero rim shape is highly aerodynamic, but does not loose stability in cross winds like a disc wheel.This increase in aerodynamics give you a much faster top speed, and reduces the energy required to ride long distances. Riding with these wheels feels as if your bike is being pulled forward through the wind.

Q: Why is the rear hub so big?

A: A lot of engineering has gone into Tokyo Wheel and the Chub hub. The oversized flanges make for a stronger wheel. The large flanges provide more leverage on the spokes, which means up to 70% less spoke stress. This decreases windup and in turn increases acceleration and climbing power. The large carbon fiber hub shell increases torsional stiffness without increasing weight. The overall effect is a hub that transfers forces from the drive side to the non-drive side more efficiently, which increases wheel strength and reduces spoke stress.

Q: Is Tokyo Wheel clincher or tubular?

A: Clincher. All carbon clincher rim.

Q: Does Tokyo Wheel have a braking surface?

A: Yes there is a very nice braking surface and Tokyo Wheel carbon brake pads are included with every wheel.

Q: Can I use brakes with Tokyo Wheel?

A: Yes you can, we include brake pads with every wheel.

Q: What kind of Tube does Tokyo Wheel use?

A: Presta valve tubes. Because the rim of Tokyo Wheel is so deep we include a 60mm valve extender so that you can use any tube that has a presta valve with a removable core.

Q: Are there any other colors?

A: No, only carbon black.
