Can't beat the price and the wheels feel great on the first few rides. Also, especially given the pandemic impacting the global economy and supply chains, the customer service was fantastic. I had great communication throughout. I will be a return customer.

I was skeptical as to how much difference I would see and feel. All I can say is wow what an improvement. I’ve gone up 2.0 mph on my average, and I can attack the hills in a bigger gear! Was definitely worth it!

One regret, I should've ordered a set! I wanted a climbing set, already had a rear by another famous brand, from a trade, so I setup both with Conti GP5000s; contrary to rear the tire went on Epic bare handed! And settled once pumped to 100psi, with bike on stand it spun long time! On first ride, bike wasn't affected by crosswinds like my 50s and felt sure going fast thru turns. Now I'm thinking about matching rear! Or maybe another set of 50s you can't have too many wheels!

I ordered a set of Epic 3.4 disc wheels with quick Release hubs on February 11th 2019. I received a set of Epic 3.4 disc wheels with thru axel hubs 3 weeks later on March 4th. I identified the problem immediatly to Kane with Tokyo Wheels and after several back and forth emails I was instructed to send the wheels back and they would send the wheels I ordered. I shipped the wheels to the address provided and received a delivery confirnmation of the return on March 11th. It took another 5 days to get a tracking link for shipping of the "correct" wheels. I received a delivery confirmation of this shipment to Austin, TX on Tuesday March 19, I live in Virginina. After looking through to shipping email I discovered that the order number in the tracking link was not a match to the order number in the body of the email. This led to another tracking thread and I picked up the wheels on March 21st at local USPS. The wheels that were delivered included a Quick relaease rear wheel and a thru axel front wheel with end cap inserts. This was specifically what I waited another 3 weeks to avoid. I plan to ride these wheels for the 60 day test period and I will further evaluate the quality of the wheels themselves at a later date. The price is good. I give 1 star for the poor quality control over shipping and delivery of the wheels I ordered.

I’d purchased a set of Epic 3.4s before, and have now purchased my second set. Their quality is second to none, at half the price. I also like their communication when ordering. I initially had a few concerns, but they were answered in a couple of emails. I’m glad to say that I’m very happy with Tokyo Wheels as a company, but also as a great set of wheels.

Thank you Tokyowheel!! These wheels are AWESOME! Great Quality, took it for a 24 mile ride and definitely can tell the difference. Best upgrade I made for my bike!!

These wheels are a tremendous upgrade from the stock wheels that came on my BMC. In fairness, the stock wheels were oem crap. Because of that, I was able to actually feel an improvement in acceleration right away. They just feel faster. The engagement was better than my Shimano stock wheels as well. And I like the hub sound upon coasting. I would recommend these wheels, except to my friends I ride with. Cuz I don’t want them any faster.

Pro Tip: Wait until the wheels have been delivered before asking for my review. It's been 5 weeks but no sign of the wheels yet. Hopefully soon, before the frosts come.

Bought the wheelset not long ago, tokyowheel provided very good support for my request, I was planning to use the wheel for my touring in thailand and they managed to ship over the wheelset on time. Overall its a very stiff wheelset though I wish they could add the ceramic bearing option on the disc wheels but I think its fine. I brought the wheel for the initial spin and I can feel that it does feels faster and drafting from behind feels a lot easier. The wheelset was installed on my hybrid but I can easily ride with my road buddies with it. Took my wheels for my touring trip to Thailand, no problem with my 1000km ride, I have also did the Audax BRM200 with it with lot of steep climbs and windy flats, saw a lot of people end up pushing their bikes but mine just easily climbed up those 20% climbs without any problem. On flats no problem doing 35kmh with my hybrid bike and it made many people raise their eye brows, thanks to the awesome wheel. After 1000km I felt that the wheel require some lubrication so I have sent for lubrication service. I did not use the original sweker provided because I felt its a little flimsy, I wish Tokyowheel can provide a better sweker for their wheels. On comparison, the wheelset lacks a little responsiveness compared with the fulcrum zero carbon because the rear wheel is 40mm profile, and its not as good on handling side wind compared with the Zipp303NSW but for the price I paid, I am satisfied.
